Our Services

In need of an event venue?

Looking for a great space to host your next event? Look no further than our spaces for rent! With seating for 250, our auditorium is perfect for performances, concerts, weddings, memorial services,  lectures and presentations. As for social events, our fully equipped kitchen and meeting rooms are ideal for reunions, showers, birthday parties, civic club meetings and corporate events.  With our presentation equipment  available on site, your event is sure to be a success!

 

The use of the Old Main building, grounds, equipment, and facilities will be in accordance with the following rules and regulations

  • The burning of candles or sparklers is NOT permitted in or around the building

  • Serving of Alcohol: Old Main Foundation does not have a license to serve alcohol. If alcohol is served, you or your caterer must provide a $1,000,000 certificate of liability insurance (7 days prior to the event) naming Old Main Foundation as additionally insured. Alcohol may be served in accordance with applicable West Virginia Law. Alcohol will NOT be served to or by anyone under the age of 21. The sale of alcohol is strictly prohibited.  You are legally responsible for the problems or issues that may result from serving alcohol and agree to indemnify Old Main Foundation

  • Smoking is not permitted in any form within the building

  • Anyone injured in connection with an event, regardless of severity of the injury, must immediately notify a Board Member and complete the required report.

  • No items belonging to Old Main are to be removed from the property. All broken, damaged, or missing items will be charged to the party at its replacement.

Rental Terms and Conditions

 

  • Kitchen Use: All counter tops and appliances are to be wiped clean after use. All kitchen accessories and equipment shall be washed and dried before returning to the original placement in the cabinets. Please do not leave items in the sink or refrigerator.

  • After the event the party renting the facility shall be responsible for the immediate removal of all foods, beverages, and trash.

  • The building and grounds will be inspected by the Old Main Foundation following the day’s event. If there is no damage or missing items, the security damage will be refunded within 7 days

  • Adherence to county and state fire safety regulations is compulsory, with a strict enforcement of the 250 maximum seating capacity in the auditorium.

  • All activities must have authorized adult supervision. Children must be supervised at all times

The Board of Directors reserves the right to refuse or cancel any request to use Old Main Facilities
